"Time Machine Letter""

Then you buy a little dog called Max.

but i wish i had is my puppy dog Max. He was only 12 months old and he was run over by a car. He
was really cute and fluffy and now we have a really big labrador. Max would curl up on my bed at night and in the morning he would lick me
on the face to wake me up! Now we don't let our big dog (norm) inside because he would knock everyone down. He is a good dog but
sometimes he jumps up on me and it hurts because he scratches me!!
23/6/09 The Movie/Book that blew my mind......
The movie/book that blew my mind was ' Matilda ' It blew my mind because it
was about this young girl who's family didn't take much notice of her. As she got older she became more mature. When she was 6 she started primary school. Her teacher was very lovely but her principle was nasty. Matilda was a very bright child. She could multiply big numbers in her head, but no one took notice of what she could do. One night she discovered she had powers, she could move things around with her mind. She helped her teacher get her 'Lucy doll' back from aunt Trunchble (the principle) In the end Matilda and her family were moving. Matilda asked miss Honey to adopt her. Matilda's mum, dad and Miss Honey signed the papers and Then miss Honey and Matilda lived a wonderful life together.

Yesterday in room 14 we took park in an experiment. The grade 6's let the grade 5's use their laptops for a day. I used Jessie's laptop. While i was having fun, Jessie wasn't. She had to put herself in my shoes and experience what we have to go through, Watching the grade 6's use their laptops! The netbook was very helpful with my learning. We played maths games and used spelling city for learning our spelling words. I would like to thank Jessie for letting me use her Laptop. Unitil next time, GEORGIA!!!

2/6/09 Student Led Conference: English -- My english goal is to join my letters when i am writing.
Evidence:
- I have had worksheets at school that i complete with joining.
- Sometimes in my writing at school i would join my letters while i am writing a story.
- At home when i am writing something down i would join my letters for practice.
I believe i can join letters its just sometimes i forget to do it. i think i have achieved this goal.
Maths -- My maths goal is to learn my 7 and 8 times tables.
Evidence:
-At home sometimes i listen to my times tables CD from last year.
- At home i have been writing down my 7's and 8's on a sheet of paper without the answers.
- At school sometimes i write down my 7's and 8's on a sheet of paper.
I believe i know my 7's and 8's but i can not memorise them quickly.
Personal -- My personal goal is to persist in my work more
Evidence:
- In my writing book my stories are much neater.
- In Art I have been persisting with my dinosaur. it took forever!
- In maths when i have been stuck i would give it a go and try and work it out.
I believe i have achieved this goal because my work is very neat and my presentation has been good.
1/6/09 ''The day the laptops arrived''
On the 25th of march the grade 6's got their laptops. I was very happy but also very jealous because the grade 5's didn't receive one.
We use the laptops everyday in our learning. They are very useful and i hope the grade 5's get one next year. They are a wee bit smaller
than normal laptop sizes. I was very jealous because i wanted a laptop!
